The Mixtape Project Training

Aim

 

To develop skills and improve employment and further education prospects for Young people aged 14-25, using Music Production, Sound Engineering and Vocal Recording as a tool of intervention and Engagement.

 

Objective

 

Providing 3 different courses for Young People aged 14 – 25 (In particular those NEET) using the Arts Award Bronze framework.

 

Creating content for The Mixtape Project record label to be published and sold digitally.

Outputs

 

  • 12 Studio Sessions of 3 hours each

 

  • Arts Award Bronze Accreditation (Optional)

 

  • Portfolio of Evidence for Arts Award portfolio i.e. Video Recordings, Tracks and Voice Recordings.

 

  • A compilation of originally produced instrumentals, Mixed and Mastered

 

 

Outcomes

 

Participant(s) of the Project will:

 

  • Be able to use MIDI sequencing to create an instrumental Tracks using Logic Pro software

 

  • Become familiar with the process of producing an instrumental track for an intended purpose i.e. a Vocalist, Remixing and Sampling

 

Have a basic understanding of Recording and Mixing Vocals with their instrumental

  • Be able to conduct a Studio Session, incorporating elements of Recording, Mixing and Mastering

 

  • Adopt transferable skills such as working in a team, taking and following instructions and time keeping

 

  • Have better opportunities to access further employment and education

 

  • Have improved self-confidence all round

  • Will be organised to showcase the Talent from Pioneers, and to demonstrate the skills they’ve learnt from each course
